A BASIC QUESTION

Will your child be ready for the tough competition ahead? When your child enters secondary school, there is little time for special developmental activities, due to the academic pressures. So don’t waste the early years. This program is designed to encourage self learning and broaden their horizons beyond the regular school syllabus. The children are transformed in the program and they come out of their shell with self motivation and confidence.

We know that you as parents are the best guides or mentors for your child and you know your child the best. This program is designed for those children where both the parents are working, the grandparents are too tired to take care of the active child or are not available and you cannot depend on the babysitter for the child’s special needs.

Philosophy and Practice: Fairyland’s philosophy and practices are not driven by commercial considerations. We don’t have glitter of shinny furniture or fancy advertisements which drive school fees sky-high. Nor do we have to pay to some franchising company. Fairyland is just simple and charming. Our low fee structure is evidence that we are not motivated by profits. We are focused on nurturing young minds. We are committed to excellence in early childhood education.

Fairyland Teachers: Fairyland’s teachers are well trained, experienced and dedicated. Most of them really don’t need to work for a living. They are at Fairyland as they love the opportunity to contribute to children. With love and care, teachers build special relationships with children. They listen to children and speak to them in appropriate language and tone. They recognize the difference between discipline and unnecessary regimentation. Our teachers create an environment where learning takes place through well designed fun activities.

Partnership with Parents: The needs of the parents are also carefully addressed. We encourage parents to participate in the class until the child is comfortable to be by himself/herself. Every dialog with parents is an opportunity for us to provide support and also to get feedback. We hold formal parent teacher meetings at least four times in the year. Parents have told us repeatedly that they find our counseling very useful particularly when it comes to choosing big school. Do look up what the parents think of Fairyland at this link.

Excellence and Innovation: Fairyland has a record of over 24 years of continuous improvement and innovation. We are pioneers in the Pune area to have created successful programs like the Summer Fun Program, Fun with Science, Computer Introduction for Children and Parents’ Workshops. The creativity of Fairyland is demonstrated in many newly written and composed action songs. Every year we update our programs, add new things and constantly look for improvements.

Environment and Facilities: Fairyland offers spacious classrooms, and a secure play-yard with a huge sand-play area. Our colonial bungalow architecture and garden creates a charming environment. We have a small class size of 20 or less (teacher to student ratio 1:5). Please click here to see the list and photos of toys and equipment we have.

Book Library: We are proud of our library of over 1000 children’s books in English, Marathi and Hindi. Books are issued to children to take home and to have reading sessions with parents or grandparents.

Annual Talent Show: Fairyland’s annual talent show is a treat for children and parents alike. The Talent Show is a carefully designed opportunity for breaking barriers. Children go beyond stage freight, learn to enjoy themselves on the stage and discover strengths that surprise and delight parents.

Celebrations and Special Events: Fairyland holds several celebrations for festivals. Click here to see the list of these celebrations and their purpose. In addition children have great fun during our special class picnics to the park and hill.

Fairyland Books, Songs and CDs: Fairyland has published several bi-lingual (English and Marathi) books for children aged 2 to 6. Books are written by Neelima Teacher with stories that are enjoyable and bring a positive influence on behavior. Fairyland students receive a set of these as they join Fairyland. Special children songs and videos are reproduced from our Annual Talent Shows in several CDs that are available for all.
